London: Camden Society by John Bowyer and Son, 1840. First edition. Hardcover. Very good in original binding. Squarish octavo (standard size). Slight wear to edges and corners of boards. No dust jacket issued. Corners bumped. Bookplate of a member of the Welsh gentry -George Montgomery Traherne - on pastedown. P. 105/6 has a small tear near hinge. 162 p. w/ index and extensive notes and introduction. Main body of the text is in Latin. 2 important documents of 13th century England, covering a tumultuous period of strife between crown and nobility.
