Pr.Edmund Evans: Longmans,Green &c 1st edition, 1864. Colour-printed text illustrations (81) by James.E. Doyle.. 4to full red gilt morocco with royal crest and tudor rose emblems rasied faux bands (tips sl.worn) All Edges Gilt; viii+462pgs; glue marks to gutter of Title. A few marks to early pages. Front inner hinge repaired and free EP re-inserted on a stub else V.G. The Illustrations are a marvel of technique and printed from up to 10 blocks printed by hand (Also the last book Evans printed on a handpress DNB) Evans called this his most carefully printed work.
