New York: Early American Industries Association, 1937.. 1937.. Very good. - Quarto [12 inches high by 9 inches wide], printed self-wraps. Pages 24/1- 24/8. Black-and-white illustrations. The page corners are lightly bumped. There are a few light stains to the first & last pages & the first page is lightly soiled. There is a horizontal crease to each leaf where the newsletter has been folded. Very good. <p>The stated purpose of the Early American Industries Association is "to encourage the study and better understanding of early American industry, in the home, in the shop, on the farm, and on the sea, and especially to discover, identify, classify, preserve and exhibit obsolete tools, implements, utensils, instruments, vehicles, appliances and mechanical devices used by American craftsmen, farmers, housewives, mariners, professional men and other workers". Among the contents of this issue of the association's newsletter are articles on the parchment maker, meat skewers and their hangers, wooden bowls, and farm implements of the 18th-century [an instalment of an ongoing series].
