A real attractive and solid book - very clean unfaded green cloth boards with black and gold decoration, gold lettering on cover and spine. Tiny spots of wear to spine ends and one 1/8" closed tear at top spine edge cloth. Bevelled board edges. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Clean chocolate brown endpapers. Previous ower name and date (July 28, 1974) neatly penned at top of "Part I" page. All pages and edges are clean and bright. 186 pages. In clear protective removable mylar cover. A dramatic poem by Longfellow which for the first time brought together three related works: "The Divine Tragedy," "The Golden Legend," and "The New England Tragedies.".
