Condition: The hardback and text is Near Fine with no bumps, lean, folds or marks. The upper blue tinted page edging is retained with only one lightened spot. The dustjacket is in a very good state with 1 cm or less chips at the top & bottom corner flaps and on the top and bottom spine with no letter loss. The spine is a faded blue due to sunning. A beautiful and rare copy for being over 55 years old. The Jeremy Kagan film adaptation was highly rated, starring Rod Steiger, Maximilian Schell, Robbie Benson and Barry Miller, with the screenplay by Edwin Gordon & Kagan.
