Portland (ME): Chisholm Bros. Wraps. Poor. 1880 date given, but presumed circa 1883 based on a date on an advertisement for the Glen House in the rear. Illustrated wraps. 140 pp., plus ads. Fold out bird's eye view of the White Mountains preceding the text, with black and white illustrations throughout.. A travel guide to the White Mountain region of New Hampshire, discussing the various hotels, railroads and amenities in the region, as well as the various mountains and lakes, Lake Winnipesaukee notable views, etc. With an illustration of a train on Jacob's Ladder on the Cog Railway, etc. POOR condition. Front wrapper and first several pages of ads DETACHED, with heavy chipping and loss along their extremities. General toning, minor soiling and spotting. A few chips along the page edges. Some tearing along the folds of the map.
