A photocopy laid in, of letter dated 2003 from Bob Gerhard, Coordinator of the Shared Beringian Heritage Program, explaining the effort behind this publication, originally published in Russia by the Nauka Press, 1974. Cape Chini is on the far eastern edge of Chukotka.
