About This Item
1960. Very good condition. Seven b&w printed photographic images of the 1911 Revolution in Canton in which 72 revolutionaries were beheaded. Known as the Second Guangzhou Uprising, (in Chinese, the Yellow Flower Mound Uprising), it was a failed uprising led by Huang Xing and his fellow revolutionaries against the Qing Dynasty. Today these revolutionaries are commemorated as the "72 Martyrs".
