It is unfortunate that time has not been this books friend and it has suffered from much neglect. Still it is a very scarce book in this early edition. It is in poor condition but well worth restoring and rebinding. Red sand-grain cloth boards over cardboard with gold, black and green lettering and designs. Boards with rubbing, fraying, patina. Spine cloth has totally disintegrated. The binding is in poor condition also with 2 loose pages (the title page and one of the protective pages for the illustrations) there is not table of contents which research shows should be present. 36 illustrations accounted for and are is beautiful condition with clear crisp colors and lines.
