The Book of Myths retells thirteen classical mythology stories, including Icarus and Hercules, with children as the audience. 112 pages. It is both written and illustrated by Margaret Evans Price. There is an introduction written by Katharine Lee Bates. There is a pronunciation guide on the last page, with names and places that are important to the myths. There are illustrations throughout that depict several scenes described for each myth. All the illustrations are in color and there are six that are full page. There are full pages of text as well. 10" x 7 1/2" Margaret Evans Price is well known and highly regarded for her illustrations.
