Joanin as Croisade des Enfants and c.1906 Chapman translation copyrights assigned to G. Shirmer. (19161). Originally green printed wraps. Rebound in-house by KTB in half green J. Hewit acid free cloth over Mulberry Papers Japanese tissue. New Shepard's Machine Age Compatible endpapers. 4to (27cm). pp. 181. Very Good. Good internally with sporadic blue and lead pencil notation; multiple archival repaired page tears. A Special prize was awarded this work by the city of Paris in 1904. First performance January 18, 1905 at the Concerts du Chatelet under M. Edouard Colonne. Scored for chorus of 200 children*, choruses of men and women. (*when children not available, may be sung by a special chorus of sopranos, mezzo-sopranos and altos...at least 20 to each part). Recorded in 1950's by Beaver Records, Toronto (Susskind)..
