Williamson's classic story of his children growing up amid the beauty of Exmoor was first published in 1939, with a revised and augmented edition in 1959. This edition adds an afterword by Richard Williamson, the youngest child of the Shallowford days, together with many personal photographs from the family collection. Gretton, 25; Matthews A26.
