New York: Pott, Young, and Co., 1875. This antique hardcover book is bound in royal-blue cloth boards with decorative gilt lettering on the front and spine. The front and spine are both also decorated in black etched designs. Spine is discolored; cover soil, edgewear; soil/foxing to endpapers; inner pages clean and unmarked, binding tight. Illustrated with black-and-white engravings, including a frontispiece, the book tells the stories of Galileo, Christopher Columbus and Wellington for young readers. Pages not numbered; estimated approx. 200. No date of publication given; stories first appear in The Publishers' Trade List Annual in 1875. 4"x7".. First Edition. Hard Cover.
