About This Item

London:: Andre Deutsch,, (1986). Hardcover first edition -. Very good in a near fine dust jacket (some spine slant and light toning to the pages).. First printing. A novel of Hollywood, of disintegration, and of the lure of cocaine and alcohol - reportedly based upon Stone's own experiences there and in Mexico when he was working on the screenplay for the movie based on his award-winning 'Dog Soldiers.' Although the copyright page for this UK edition says "first published in the US ...by Knopf" this actually preceded the US edition, and was issued in a much smaller number - 4,500 versus 40,000 - of copies. 294 pp.
