Drawing together J.R.R. Tolkien's original manuscripts, using many sources spaced out over decades, Christopher Tolkien has constructed a narrative without any editorial invention.
Middle Earth tale long before 'Lord of the Rings'.The story of Turin and his sister Nienor, children of Hurin, the reason for the hatred bestowed upon them by Morgoth, their fear of Angband, and the war waged by Morgoth against them and the lands and cities of the Elves.
Sardonic and mocking,Glaurung, the powerful spirit sent by Morgoth in the form of a huge wingless dragon of fire, manipulated the fates of Turin and Nienor by lies of diabolic cunning and guile, and the curse of Morgoth was fulfilled.

Synopsis
The Children of Húrin is an epic fantasy novel which forms the completion of a tale by J. R. R. Tolkien. He wrote the original version of the story in late 1910s, revised it several times later, but did not complete it before his death in 1973. His son, Christopher Tolkien, edited the manuscripts to form a consistent narrative, and published it in 2007 as an independent work.
