Single issue of this Chicago based newspaper, featuring an account of a ballooning adventure undertaken by Samuel Archer King (noted in the article as an aeronaut), a noted balloonist in the US responsible for its growth in popularity. Also present is news on the defense strategy for Guiteau, the assassin of President Garfield; news on shooting events and long-range rifle shooting records; brief news shorts on baseball teams, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal and vertical fold creases present. General toning. Minor chipping and tearing along the extremities.
