About This Item

New York, NY: Pantheon Books, 1986. 148pp. Original boards. Stated First Edition. Inscribed to previous owner, "And our toddlin' town" and signed by Studs Terkel on FEP. Pages are clean (no writing, underlining, or highlighting) but yellowing with age. Upper text block is warped from moisture. Binding is tight with no cracks or breaks but feels a bit stiff. DJ is unclipped (original $15.95 price is still intact). DJ is sunned with moderate ink-rubbing/scraping to panels; rear cover is in bad shape (3" x 5" tear across panel and heavily scraped). Shelfwear (horizontal crease across lower left rear cover, nicking/rubbing to edges). What remains of DJ is covered by protective mylar covering. This is not a remainder or ex-library. Excluding the DJ, the book itself is a nice inscribed copy of a wonderful book by one of America's greatest voice of the people of the 20th century. . Inscribed By Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good -/Very Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Mylared.
