This is a wonderful look at Chicago at the turn of the century, "CHICAGO ALBUM" containing 79 Albertype views of the city. Circa 1890's (there is no date of publications stated). Published by Chisholm Brothers in Portland, Maine. Nicely decorated gilt front cover. There are 24 pages attached accordion-style comprised of 79 individual views from photographs. The album measures 9 1/2" wide x 6 1/4" tall. There is an amazing panoramic two-page view at the front. Condition:
Some very light soiling along the perimeter of the front cover; clean back cover. The pages fold-out accordion style - all pages are securely attached along their outer edge. There is a crease at the upper-outer corner of pages 2 & 3. The views are in great shape - clean with no notable issues found. The paper over the spine is missing, though this has no real affect on the book. Overall the album is in Good+ condition.
