London: John Murray, 1922. Photogravure portrait of The Chevalier to frontispiece, tissue guarded and 8 other illustrations. Gilt coat of arms of the De Boufflers to front and title on blue cloth boards. Boards are clean with just minor marks with a dulled spine which has a little wear to head and tail. Internally there is a small neat contemporary name and date to front pastedown else clean, tight and unmarked. A Good+ copy. xv and 441 pages. Press opinions and adverts for other books bound in at rear. Stanislas, Marquis de Boufflers became marechal de camp, governor of Senegal and married Mme. de Sabran Marquise de Custine. A1C. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
