About This Item
London: Hollis & Carter, 1952. 8vo xviii+428 pp. Illus from game diagrams and 32 drawings of important chess players by Kenneth Stubbs. Blue boards. Spine is faded and worn but the volume is very sound and interior is fine but for one small annotation to one of the games descr. ibed. An interesting book as besides describing the games, it gives some brief descriptions of the players themselves and their personalities, including Emanuel Lasker (not, apparently, a relation), Fine, Reshevsky, Alekhine and many others..
