About This Item

First edition, first printing. A memoir written by two of the twelve children in the family. Illustrated. A story made famous by Hollywood with movies in 1950, starring Clifton Webb and Myrna Loy, 2003, with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, and 2022, with Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff (Disney+). A humorous telling of the 14-member household, the first movie held closest to the source material. No dust jacket. The cover appears to be orange textured paper with black print on the spine. There is wear at the top and bottom of the spine as well as at two corners, where the orange coating has peeled off the paper. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with the owner's bookplate on the front endpaper. A fairly rare book.
