About This Item

New Rochelle: Arlington House, 1972. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Fine first edition copy of Goulart's breezy and entertaining look at the heady days of the Pulps. In a near fine, unclipped jacket that has two small closed tears to the back, very minor wear to the extremities and slight fading to the spine. Richly entertaining, this is one of the earliest works to give an overview of the Pulp era, covering the magazines, characters, editors and writers who populated that magical period. Inscribed and dated by Goulart on the ffep, along with a charming pen and ink self-portrait.
