Grey/blue cloth with gilt and black lettering and black, blue, ivory and brown pictorial stamping. iv, 329pp, (10pp ads). Frontispiece, 7 called-for full-page illustrations. Very good. Faint edgewear, with spine slightly rubbed. A tight and attractive first edition of the sixth and final volume of the "Pan-American Series" that began in 1902. Fun front board graphic depicts two horseback boys racing across the South American lowlands. Author/publisher Edward Stratemeyer (1862-1930) was an obscenely prolific scribbler of juvenile fiction.
