It is bordered on the west by the west coast of Turkey, on the east by the Persian Gulf, on the north by the Black Sea and on the south by the Nile Delta. The components of the Ottoman Empire are shown in great detail and individually colored, while adjacent regions are only outlined. In the upper right corner is the simple title cartouche, at the top left a legend explaining the characters used and at the bottom left the scale in geographical, Persian, French, Arabic, Turkish, English and Italian miles. Small hole in the middle. Numerous mildew stains due to water damage. Several old repairs on the back. 477 by 618mm (18¾ by 24¼ inches).
