Green coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white, sepia and green tinged photographs throughout the book and there is one double page map in the middle of the book showing the first flight around the world. There is a gilt sticker on the acknowledgements page commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first journey around Australia by aeroplane and the first trans-Pacific flight from San Francisco to Brisbane. Blue coloured boards with white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper, showing a montage of images of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith life, with yellow and blue coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the backstrip. To the front dustwrapper panel there is a gilt sticker stating " Commemorating the 50th Anniversary, June 1927: Record Around Australia Flight, June 1928: First Trans-Pacific Flight, San Francisco-Brisbane". The biography of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith. Rubbing to the book corners and to the backstrip corners. The spine is very slightly cocked. Bowing of the front book boards. A few marks to the top edge of the free front end paper. Some rubbing to the dustwrapper edges and a few marks are also present. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. IV, 5-162 pages,.
