No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with clean endpapers (brief previous owner inscription neatly penned on front free endpaper "To Beatrice Cross, from Doctor Wilson"). Beautiful frontispiece illustration with tissue guard (six full page black & white illustrations, total). 192 pages..
