London: Hutchinson, 1958. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight clean and square. Boards nice and clean with sharp corners, the spine has a has a touch of sunning. Spine title gilt very bright and attractive. Text block clean with nice crisp pages. Well bound and tight, feels gently read. Near fine condition. No jacket. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. Although jacketless this is tight and attractive copy of this autobiograph, issued shortly after Hawthorne's death. 18 photographic illustration pages, plus 10 circuit maps accompany the text.
