The fourth edition, with a new introduction. H. Rider Haggard's travel account of his six years spent working in South Africa. The titular 'Cetywayo' is the Zulu king Cetshwayo kaMpande, who greatly opposed the 1879 Anglo-Zulu War, and was exiled following the Zulu defeat. This was Haggard's first full-length published work, writing this work as he was also studying for the Bar. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards, and a little light rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little discoloured. Marks to the paste downs and endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few light handling marks. Very Good
