Clem Colt was one of the pseudonyms of award-winning author of Western fiction Nelson Coral Nye (1907 -) used; he wrote over 100 titles. This adventure stars Center-Fire Smith, or Potent Smith, a "What you'd call a celebrated characters in New Mex, A tough egg from all accounts. Shoots first an' talks it over later --- if there's anyone t' talk to". Tall, guant, yellow-haired, dressed in black with a pair of Walker Colts and sagging cartridge-belts, Centre-Fire travelled with his trusty steed, Buzzard Bait. Known to have aimed and hit a villain between the eyes more than once!
