Marshall (MN) : Henle Publishing Co, 1970. First edition. Quarto (4to) size, 10.75"/28cm h. Bound in publisher's blue leatherette, yellow lettering imprinted to spine and front board. Lacking dj, likely published w/o. Plain white endpapers. 306 numbered pp, plus four w/o numbers following, plus two pp w/0 numbers in text (contents p plus verso preceding p). Editor's preface, author's foreword, with contributions by a wide range of county denizens, including Charles Vandersluis (Surveying of Lyon County); Arthur Louis Finnell (on Lyon County Historical Society); and many township, city, civic, and religious officials; contributor biographical sketches, index full list of county boards and county officials from foundation through 1970. Many b&w photos and maps. Condition notes: a solidly built volume, still tight and square, with some loss of brightness to lettering on boards but overall excellent; two previous owners have written their particulars neatly on front free endpaper, with a return address label neatly affixed to front pastedown. Otherwise no notes or highlighting. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
