First of this second enlarged edition with introduction to 1917 edition. 2 volumes, blue cloth, a very good set with only very light rubbing to edges. No dust jackets. This edition had 122 songs, 323 variants and included the material collected by Cecil Sharp in his first visit to the mountains, a 9 week sojourn, in 1916; and 32 songs from Dame Campbell, collected from 1907-1910 mainly in Kentucky and Georgia. The expanded edition includes material gathered in an addition 19 weeks in 1917 and 18 weeks in 1918, where Sharp was accompanied by Maud Karpeles. No expedited shipping.
