London: Weidenfeld and Nicolson 1961-1978. 8vo. All First Editions. 6 volumes. Hardbacks in differently coloured pictorial jackets designed by Cecil Beaton, not price clipped (apart from vol.5). Jacket spines faded, a few light marks to panels, slight chipping and one or two tears around edges, especially to vol. 1. Light spotting to boards. A couple of vols. are lightly foxed to endpapers or fore-edge, but generally internally clean across the volumes. The famous diaries of Sir Cecil Beaton, fashion and portrait photographer to the stars and Oscar-winning stage and screen costume designer. Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs featuring various figures in Beaton's circle including Evelyn Waugh, Greta Garbo and more. This is a heavy set and may require additional postage if being shipped outside of Europe. . Very Good. Hardcover. First Editions. 1961.

Within the UK we ship via Royal Mail and UPS. For the US we use USPS tracked services and Fedex. For the rest of the World we mostly use Royal Mail Tracked, as well as Parcelforce and DPD. Please select our Priority service if you'd like UPS / Fedex express servies, but even our Standard option is with UPS until Royal Mail sort themselves out.

Prices are in sterling, and are subject to availability. We can accept bank transfers in Sterling, Euros, US and AUS dollars. We ship priority shipping as standard, and pack our books well. Courier services available. We are also able to offer same day delivery within London postcodes for some orders - ask for a quote. Valuable items will be sent via registered airmail or one of the courier services. Large orders can be sent via consolidation, which reduces the cost per book. In the unlikely event of an incorrect description, a full refund will be provided, but please e-mail/telephone first, and within seven days of receipt of the book. We are happy to comply to the EU's rules on distance selling. All books are published in London and 8vo unless stated, and remain my property until paid for in full.
