About This Item
London: Oresko Books, 1978. Softcover. Good, clean and tight with minor cover wear. Pale blue wraps with color illustration and black lettering; French flaps; 96 pp. with 122 bw illustrations. The cat's whisker was a tiny coil of wire, carefully adjusted, so that the wireless radio could be heard with the loudest signal through the headset. Hill traces the history of the wireless through its heyday in the Second World War to its eclipse with the advent of television.
