Christiania (now Oslo), Norway: by order of the Norwegian Government, printer W.C. Fabritius, 1859. Book. Illus. by 31 folio size plates drawn by H.E. Schirmer (architect). Very Good. 3/4 Leather. 1st Edition. Atlas Folio - over 23 - 25" tall. A magnificent record of Trondheim Cathedral, now called Nidaros Cathedral , begun in 1070 and the most important Cathedral in Scandinavia. Munch was a prolific historian of Norway, but this book is not listed among his works on Wikipedia. It is an elephant folio, 23 inches (59 cm) tall in the original cloth with a gilt emblem - Trondheim Domkirke - on the front board. New, dark brown goatskin spine and corners. A bit of foxing on some plates. Forty eight pages of test in two columns, one Norwegian and one English. Scarce, with no other copies on the internet at this writing. .
