The 1973 Editorial Porrua 25th anniversary edition of Manuel Touissant’s monumental study of the history, art, and architecture of the Cathedral of Mexico, first published in 1948. Finely bound in 1/4 calf, gray linen, black morocco spine label, gilt titles and decorations, and decorative end papers. Generously illustrated with a wealth of photographs and drawings, including a number of photos by Guillermo Kahlo, father of Frida. Text in Spanish. The definitive work on the subject. Fine, clean, crisp, bright, and sharp, all gilt brilliant, in a Near Fine dust jacket, no chips, tears, or price-clipping. A handsome copy of a magnificent book.
