Light yellowing to page edges, else fine. Thin jacket has only light sunning to the red portions of spine and light yellowing to white portions; head of spine has nicks, small corner chips, rubbing and a 1.5 inch tear to rear fold; nick to foot of spine; minor wear to outer corners, nick to front panel; else VG, attractive, and a bit better than usually found. With the Lotte Jacobi photo of Salinger on the rear panel of the jacket that was dropped after the first trade and first book club editions at his insistence. An affordable alternative to the first trade printing, nice copies of which now trade for megabucks.; Octavo. .
