Book and dustjacket are iin as new condition. One of 20 copies specially bound. Publication date is 1980 printed in the book, but laid in correspondence corrects the date as 1981. There is correspondence between David Heyler, Susan F. Riggs and Florian J. Shasky, chief, department of special collections laid-in. David Heyler was a very close friend to and collector of Steinbeck's works. The letters are signed by Riggs and Shasta. Book is protected in a custom cut clear mylar cover. All books are carefully wrapped and shipped in a box..
