London: The Alpine Club, 1888. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Good/No Jacket. 1888 UK EDITION. According to the introduction in this book this is the expanded and updated catalogue based on its predecessor published in 1880. Original very pale green wrappers with black lettering front. This example has obviously been extracted from a hardbound tome, likely one that had several publications bound under one cover. The book was originally issued in wrapper. This example has remnants of a hardcover spine. Both the original front and rear covers are present. There is a library blindstamp lower front cover and on the lower area of the title page, and a penned number to verso of title page (no other library marks), a small penned and initialed note on the inside of the front cover "cat: Bought May 1898", all other pages have no writing or marks, no foxing, solid binding. The book measures 210mm tall x 135mm and has 111 pages. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
