Illustrated throughout in color and black and white. First edition with "Published October, 1940" on copyright page and no additional printings noted. Previous owner's bookplate on front fixed endpaper. The boards are somewhat bowed. Pen notation written in margin of the table of contents page. Some light chipping to edges of jacket. Some tanning to the jacket. Original price of $2.00 present on front flap.
