About Very Good in a Good presumed later state jacket, unclipped (no price), generally rubbed and toned, split three inches from the top of the spine. Pictorial paper over the boards, lightly toned, pushed at the corners. Square, bound with some reading wear, name in pen and crayon on the half-title page, clean otherwise. Younger & Hirsch 11.
Synopsis
The Cat in the Hat is a children's book by Dr. Seuss, featuring a tall, anthropomorphic, mischievous cat, wearing a tall, red and white striped hat, and a bowtie. He also carries an umbrella. With the series of Beginner Books that The Cat inaugurated, Seuss promoted both his name and the cause of elementary literacy in the United States.
