Bernhard Tauchnitz: Leipzig, 1901. Finely bound example of Bagot's early novel. Octavo, bound in three quarters vellum with red morocco spine label lettered in gilt, gilt tooling to the spine. Ownership names. In near fine condition. English novelist Richard Bagot was known most widely for his prominent Italian background and his many articles and reviews of Italian art and letters including his masterpiece, My Italian Year. His third novel, Casting of Nets, centers on the story of the Reverend James Russell, Rector of Abbotsbury.
