Red covers, beveled edges with gilt and black decoration range from heavily water stained (division III) to only minor water stained. Some soiling and spines are sun darkened. Spine ends frayed, corners bumped and some edge wear. Gilt page edges. Hinges are starting to split on some volumes, but most are still OK. Foxing througout. Some minor dampstaining and red bleed through on some interior pages, but generally quite readable and even the worst volume's illustrations are generally unscathed.
