About This Item
London: Cassell & Company, 1889. Hardcover. black-&-white illustrations. pp. iv, 764.,12mo,,,A rather scarce item, WorldCat reporting only a handful of copies worldwide. Bound in what appear to be an early re-binding in carmine buckram with plain stamped gilt lettering to spine, and utilitarian endpapers. Boards now lightly stained and rubbed, but still nice and tight. A few traces of foxing to margins, otherwise the contents are clean and tight. Overall, the book is in good plus condition.
