New York: Roger L. Stevens / Joel Schenker, 1963. Two draft revisions of the script for the 1963 play. Based on the 1961 memoir, "My Life in Court," by Louis Nizer. Copies belonging to actor Van Heflin, with his noted throughout.
Van Heflin played the lead character in the play, lawyer Robert Sloane. Nominated for a Tony Award. The play opened on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre on October 7, 1963, and ran for 242 performances through May 9, 1964.
Red titled wrappers. Title page present, dated October 28, 1963, with credits for playwright Denker and writer Nizer. 103 leaves, mimeograph duplication. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two silver screw brads.
