Association copy, signed and warmly inscribed to artist George Harding on front free endpaper: "For George Harding, with admiration for a great artist -- and my friend -- from the author, Herbert Johnson." Red cloth with gilt titling and illustration. A collection of anti-New Deal cartoons that Johnson created for the Saturday Evening Post. Heavy foxing to endpapers. Soiling and rubbing to boards. No jacket. Both Johnson and Harding were regular contributors to the Saturday Evening Post. Harding also worked as a combat artist in both World Wars and created murals for the US Post Office in Washington, DC.
