About This Item
W. H. Allen, London, 1978. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Very Good. Inscribed by Author. Red coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with white and red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Black-and-white photograph of author to the fold over panel. Britain is one of the few countries in the world that is truly Rabies free. It can only be brought into the country through importation of infected animals. This premise is taken by the author to a new level, inasmuch, the carrier is not an animal as such, but, a lorry driver who picks up something a little more sinister than fruit from Barcelona ... Author's first novel. Inscribed by the author on the free front end page. Softening of the back strip edges with some rubbing to the lower book edges. A hint of cocking to the spine with age toning of the text block edges and panels. Some creasing the dustwrapper edges with faint sunning of the panels. Rubbing is also present  particularly to the rear panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], 185, [1] pages.. Dust Jacket price-clipped. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
