Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing.

Book club edition of the 5th edition of this comprehensive guide tot he propagation of the carnation in all its forms. The author was head of the carnation department at the plant nursery company Allwoods, still going strong today.
