Paris: Librairie de l'Élysée, Émile Paul, 1875. Second Edition. Leather bound. Very good. The second edition of Carmela by Princess Olga Cantacuzène, published in Paris in 1875.. Octavo, [two volumes], 343pp; 368pp. Three-quarter red morocco, marbled paper boards. Title in gilt on morocco label affixed to spine, with five gilt-decorated raised bands. All edges marbled, with matching marbled endpapers. Text in French. Bound by Kerby & Endean of London. Stated "deuxième édition" on title page of Volume II. Solid text blocks, with bumped corners and some rubbing to boards. Internally fine. Princess Olga Cantacuzène (1843-1929) was a Russian-Italian woman who wrote novels in French.
