He is also the author of the novel This Burns My Heart. His nonfiction has appeared in the New York Times. Born in Brazil and raised in Los Angeles, he split his time between Chicago and Los Angeles. In April 2017, Samuel Park died of stomach cancer at the age of 41 shortly after finishing The Caregiver. The Caregiver was published on September 25, 2018. Zachary Knoll was Samuel Park's editor at Simon & Schuster. Lisa Grubka was Samuel Park's agent. Curtis Sittenfeld is the author of five novels: Prep (2005); The Man of My Dreams (2006); American Wife (2008); Sisterland (2013); and Eligible (2016).
