A history of the Hessian soldiers helmet found on the battlefield at the Battle of Trenton, December 26, 1776 by American Captain Oliver Pond. The helmet was passed down in the Pond/Farrar family until it was donated to the Worcester Historical Society in 1931. It was later sold to the Smithsonian Institution. .
